What Will 'The Hills' Legacy Be? Kristin And Audrina Weigh In
Shortly after Lauren Conrad bid a fond farewell to "Laguna Beach," she found herself looking for love, friends and a career on "The Hills." Over the show's six seasons, LC and her pals — including Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth and even onetime frienemy Kristin Cavallari — created lots of drama, shared laughs and tears and let fans into their lives to get an intimate look at what it's like to be a 20-something in Los Angeles.
But when "The Hills" wraps permanently on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV, what will it most be remembered for?
"What people really responded to was how beautifully it was shot," Cavallari told MTV News. "And the cameras they use [for the show] are the best, so it looks like a movie."
It looked so good that, when the show became a hit after its launch in May 2006, a number of other reality shows tried to capture that "Hills" magic. "I think they broke the mold for a lot of shows," Cavallari said. "So I think they'll be remembered as that [show]."
Patridge, however, has a different theory about what the show's legacy will be. "There's been so many emotional scenes — and lots of blank stares," she laughed about the show's go-to dramatic close-up. "Lots of tears. Lots of fighting. Lots of gossip."
What do you think will be the legacy of "The Hills"? Sound off in the comment section!
The Hills legacy will be to advise all young girls/women to cut 'frienemies' out of their lives. Drama and backstabbing is a vicious cycle and should not be tolerated.
ReplyDeleteI think the hills legacy will be the relatable storylines. Especially alot of the storylines with Lauren.
