LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Holiday 2011 Lookbook

Thanks to The Budget Babe we have a sneak peek of Lauren Conrad's holiday collection for Kohls.
"Kohl's is already thinking ahead to the holidays, having just released its LC Lauren Conrad holiday 2011 lookbook. Luckily, it's all very wearable and there isn't any red and green in sight. Instead, you'll see a mix of feminine dresses, printed blouses, loose knits and lightweight sweaterdresses - great pieces to wear now with jeans and flats, then layered with tights and boots as the temperature drops. Unique back details and touches of lace give the collection a flirty, playful feel, while the mostly blush pink, mint green and cool gray color palette lend a modern, versatile touch. I like the dresses in this round-up, and would love to see LC add handbags and clutches to her collection."

Whitney Port Shares Her Sensible Style Tips For Fall

Whitney Port recently presented her Whitney Eve Spring 2012 Collection in NAPA where she also took time out for an interview with FabSugar. Check it out below.
FabSugar: What inspired you to get involved with the National Breast Cancer Foundation?
Whitney Port: I have family members that have been affected by the disease, and I really want to stress the importance of early detection. It's so crucial to go out and get tested, because the earlier they find something, the better chances you have of survival.
FS: You've lived in NYC and Los Angeles — how do you differentiate East Coast vs. West Coast dressing?
WP: When I lived in New York, I was inspired to dress up a lot more, and look more sophisticated. But when I'm in LA, I prefer to keep things casual — most days when I go to the office I'm in cutoffs, a t-shirt, and Converse sneakers. I'm so relieved to not have to dress up for the camera anymore. It's fun to go out and do events and get dolled up, but most of the time I'm just at a bar with friends, totally dressed down.
FS: This is your first trip to Napa; what did you pack for your weekend in wine country?
WP: I didn't know if the wineries had dress codes or anything, so I had no idea what to bring! I ended up packing one pair of jeans, a couple of dresses, and a few t-shirts to mix and match.
FS: What pieces are you coveting for Fall? I feel like you might have a pretty solid shopping list.
WP: Actually, I'm going on a shopping strike! I just moved into a new place and organized my closet, and I realized that I really shouldn't buy anything else — I literally have stuff with tags still attached — so I'm just going to revamp my existing pieces for Fall. I really gravitated towards the menswear looks that were on the runways; I love a pantsuit, and I'm going to try kitten heels, too.
FS: Love your practicality! So when you do shop, what do you typically splurge on? Where do you prefer to save?
WP: I mostly splurge on bags and shoes, because I know I'll wear them forever. And honestly, I kind of try to save on everything! Since I've started designing I've realized just how much it costs to make clothes, and I have become pretty frugal when buying new things.

Audrina Patridge Dishes on Her Cancelled Reality Show & How She Deals With Critics

The lovely Veronika from Veronika's Blushing did a terrific interview with Audrina while she was in Houston. Here's an excerpt:
Audrina's best advice? “You’re never going to be perfect and you just have to accept that and be happy with who you are.” Words to live by, especially when you’re a reality star who has had her fair share of critics — especially online.
“You have to remember all the nice things people say [online] but then it’s those one or two mean things that stand out. Now I just block and delete all of the mean people [on Twitter] — it becomes fun — you’re blocked!” she laughed.
Audrina's feeling on her now defunct VH1 show: "“The show was supposed to focus on my career, my life, my friends…but things blew up with my family and that was more interesting, so they filmed that more,” she said. “You are always being pushed to your limits and that’s what can be frustrating — and with editing, sometimes you’re not happy with how it comes out, but you just have to keep moving along.”
And moving along, she is. The reality star is currently reading scripts and looking into more hosting opportunities. “I don’t plan on doing reality [TV] again, I want my life back!”

Lauren Conrad Dyes Her Hair Peach!

By Alyssa Kolsky Hertzig
Lauren Conrad is proving to be quite the daredevil when it comes to her hair. After recently trying out tie-dyed ends, where the tips of her long blonde hair were colored magenta and blue, and later going a softer (but still shocking!) icy blue, we can report that she has done it again.
This week, Lauren decided to take the plunge with a shade that her L.A. Colorist, Kristin Ess, has dubbed "pinky-peach." To create it, Ess mixed three shades of dye: Special Effects Hair Dye in Bright As F#@! Yellow, Fudge dye in Strawberry Fields, and a drop of Special Effects's Atomic Pink. She then added an ounce of water to the mixture to "make it more pastel." The resulting shade is concentrated on the ends of Lauren's hair and fades subtly up into the blonde. It's pretty, punky, and definitely peach.
Want to do it yourself at home? Ess recommends trying it on a test piece of hair first. "Always paint, rinse, and dry first to make sure the color is to your liking," she says. "Some may like it a little more yellow or pink depending on if your blonde tips are darker or lighter. For a more diluted formula, just add more water—one-half ounce at a time."
So, what do you think? Are you into Lauren's new peach hue? And would you ever try it?
