Lauren Conrad Poses For Glamour - May 2012 Issue

Lauren Conrad is really baring it all for Glamour. The Cali girl appears topless and poolside on the cover of the mag’s May issue, which also happens to be their swimsuit issue (so we guess that explains why she’s wearing one half of a bikini…)
Highlights from Miss Conrad's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Glamour!
On body image:
“On the vacation to Cabo, I wore a bathing suit on the beach for the first time in years. Usually I’m just petrified. A couple of years ago someone zoomed in on my cellulite and it was so mean. I took it really personally. I haven’t worn a bathing suit in L.A. in years because of that.” She adds, “I haven’t met a woman without insecurities. You just have to learn to play up the positives.”
On her dating life:
“I wish I dated as much as people thought I did! It’s really funny because almost everyone that I’m reportedly 'dating' is a friend of mine. About half my friends are guys, and I’ve always gotten along really well with guys. You just have to laugh at it.” She adds, “I feel like most guys aren’t reading Us Weekly. Anyway, it’s not bad if somebody links you to one of your friends. For me, it serves as a distraction from my actual dating life. I can go and date people and not be bothered!”
On her friendships on The Hills:
“The show is what brought a lot of us together, and when it was gone, we didn’t have anything in common anymore.”
On what really happened on the reality TV sets:
“During shooting, the producers would send us quick text messages telling us what to talk about. They couldn’t walk through the shot, so they’d just text me, like, ‘Say something quick about this story line.’ That’s why we were always checking our phones!”
On what keeps her grounded:
“For me, the best way to stay grounded is to surround myself with friends and family who knew me way back when. There’s nothing like cleaning my mom’s dishes or taking out the trash to remind me that I’m no different than anyone else.”

Lauren Conrad on The Wendy Williams Show 4/2/2012 (Video & Photos)

Lauren Conrad was spotted at the “Wendy Williams Show” this morning (April 2).
LC looked to be in great spirits as she headed into the New York City studios to promote her new book “The Fame Game.”
If you’re shocked that the girl from Laguna Beach grew up to have several books on the New York Times best-seller list, join the club. Lauren Conrad is too.
“We were doing the inside cover of the beauty book I’m working on, and under ‘also by’ it listed all my other books. I was like, ‘When did this happen?’”
Lauren told EW she enjoys writing her books as a means of letting her readers know the real story behind all the media hype.
“The most fun for me is being able to tell all the little tricks that people do in the media. Mostly, the shameless ones in terms of calling their own photographers and leaking their own stories, the little things that people don’t really know about but everyone in the industry knows.”
Lauren noted, “My editor would always go, ‘I don’t know if this seem realistic. Is this something that could actually happen?’ I would say, ‘That did happen. That’s a real story.’”
Lauren continued, “One of my biggest goals, especially with writing YA novels, is just to have people enjoy reading,” she said. “I remember being in high school and it was so forced because everything I read through most of school was assigned reading. I love the idea of giving girls a book that they can read and enjoy reading.”

Lauren Conrad at The Fame Game Release Party

Lauren Conrad did a little celebrating on Saturday night at The Rooftop nightclub for the release of The Fame Game due out this Tuesday along with an 11-city book tour.
For this festive outing, Lauren wore what appeared to be a fishnet top along with a flirty black skirt, hanging out with friends excited for Lauren's book release.
Also at the celebration, two most-notable items in The Rooftop photos are Lauren holding up a dollar sign, then a Hollywood movie slate representing the price of fame one must pay.
Finally, Lauren's parents and siblings were in attendance at the release party as the whole clan posed for a family photo in a picture frame surround the family.
Check out the video below where Lauren talks about The Fame Game.

Kristin Cavallari Leaves Los Angeles For Life in Chicago with Jay Cutler

Kristin tweeted about her departure: "Its official...I'm out of LA!! Been an amazing 8 years but that town can be toxic. I feel like I can breathe ☺"
Kristin revealed to Glamaholic magazine that she & Jay will split their time bewtween Chicago and Tennesee. "Because Jay is in Chicago I will live in Chicago half the year, then Nashville for the other half. I'll come to LA whenever I need to. We both don't want to raise our kid with paparazzi and cameras in our face. We want to give them as normal a life as possible."
I'm going to miss getting regular candids of Kristin but I wish her & Jay all the happiness in the world.

Lauren Conrad Departs from LAX Airport

Lauren Conrad cracks a smile as she prepares to depart LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).
In other LC news, Lauren recently took time out to do an interview with Daniel Quintanilla about her upcoming LA Candy spin-off, The Fame Game. Check it out below.
DQ: Wow, I never knew Madison could be so versatile between Hollywood and Twitter. What makes Madison Parker wanna join us here in the real world?
LC: Well why not, everyone is doing it right? I hope the fans on Twitter enjoy her.
DQ: The Fame Game is obviously Madison Parker's time to shine. But we soon learn immediately that Madison has other threats to worry about. What are the chances Madison will become a good, whole-hearted person at the end of this trilogy?
LC: I think Madison isn’t all bad, she maybe just a little misdirected at the moment. But perhaps there will be good in everyone. You will just have to wait and see.
DQ: As you may know, there's something called The Hunger Games that's gotten so much attention. Are you worried that The Hunger Games has taken away ample promotion time from The Fame Game over the last few weeks if it hasn't done so already?
LC: The Hunger Games is a book I have read and really enjoyed. I think the film is going to be fantastic. I cannot wait to see it.
DQ: What do you think about the idea of expanding The Fame Game beyond its' current trilogy, and creating a whole new set of characters with new scandals that are separate from all your experiences? (Think Gossip Girl or Sweet Valley High)
LC: I never say never. The Fame Game is actually a spin off from LA Candy so I do like my books to connect in some way shape or form.
DQ: Finally, Have you ever wanted to become Madison Parker in real life?
LC: I think that creating Madison on the page was fun enough for me. But I prefer to stay just who I am.
The Fame Game hits stores this Tuesday, April 3rd.
