Heidi Montag's Mother is Now a Maid

While Heidi Montag and her douche hubby Spencer Pratt are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on crystals, Heidi's mother Darlene Egelhoff is cleaning houses to make ends meet.
Heidi infamously cut her mom out of her life after her mom expressed how disappointed she was in her getting 10 surgeries. Darlene's restaurant went under after 21 years and now she's cleaning homes in her native Crested Butte, Colo., to survive.
Darlene admits some of her new employers recognize her from The Hills, but she's humbled by it, not embarrassed.
"That's very humbling for me and I very much appreciate that experience because I don’t ever want to get full of myself and think I’m too good to do anything,"

Darlene told Inside Edition on Thursday.
She confessed that her and Heidi haven't spoken for at least nine month and she doesn't expect her to help her while she's struggling financially, but she is hoping for a reconciliation.
According to Us Weekly, in a desperate attempt to get back in contact with Heidi, she's launched a personal blog, Metamorphosis of a Mother, in the hopes that Heidi may read it one of these days.

Olivia Palermo on The City's Cancellation: "I've Moved On"

Looks like The City's cancellation is bittersweet news to its sometime-villain, Olivia Palermo.
"You know what, I've kind of moved on," the socialite told UsMagazine.com on Wednesday. On the show, Palermo, 24, clashed at Elle magazine with PR diva Erin Kaplan and failed to support the fledgling designs of old cohort Whitney Port.
Although MTV confirmed that the show will not be returning for a third season on Tuesday, Palermo said the network still hasn't called her. "That's apparently what's happened, but I haven't heard anything official," Palermo told Us at the Jay Godfrey Spring 2011 Collection in NYC.
The fashionista said that she's been keeping busy with some top-secret business for the spring. "It's been a wonderful time for me because I've been able to focus on a lot of other projects that I didn't have time for," Palermo explained to Us. "Hopefully I'll be releasing a few things in the spring."
Although Palermo declined to comment on just what those things were (a follow up collection to her Roberta Freymann necklaces released in the spring, perhaps?), she did confirm one thing. "It'll be exciting."

Whitney Port: Wetpaint Interview

Whitney Port, fashion designer and star of MTV's The City, has been busy jet-setting around the world — doing a Whitney Eve fashion show in Tokyo, a Grazia cover in Dubai, and charity work in Liberia. The busy star took some time out between international flights to answer some of Wetpaint fans' most burning questions about all things fashion on TV. Read on for her take on TV's best and worst dressed and her biggest style inspirations.
Who do you think is the best-dressed character on TV? The worst?
I think the best-dressed character ever on television is Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. I love the way she takes something totally crazy and turns it into something super covetable. Serena from Gossip Girl would be a close second — she's feline, feminine, and utterly modern. And now for the worst. OK, the worst would

have to be some of the Jersey Shore cast. While I give them props for taking some chances and showing off what they've got, they're kinda all over the place. There's definitely something to be said for over-the-top style, though... !
Do you model your personal style after any TV characters?
I constantly reference Carrie Bradshaw. I know it sounds cliche, but she's turned around the way young women think about everyday fashion. Who else could pull off a vintage white tuxedo jacket and Mickey Mouse tee to a fancy dinner in NYC? Genius!
Which TV character would you most want to dress up as on Halloween? – StyleVixn976
Ja'mie from HBO's Summer Heights High. I could pull off the outfit, but I'm not sure I could ever pull off her attitude.
Where do you get inspiration for your clothing line, Whitney Eve?
I'm constantly inspired by my friends and the people around me. I take their very personal approach to fashion, remix it, and then add in touches of high fashion

trends from the runway. I'm also inspired by street fashion — after all, some of the biggest trends were started there. Hippies, goths, punks, grunge, club kids, I'm looking at you!
Growing up, which TV character was the most influential on your style?
Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, hello! This one needs no explanation.
If you could guest star on any TV show, which one would it be and who would you play?
Probably Top Chef — it'd be fun to guest star as a judge to see what they could create for me. I'm also curious about how that whole operation works before all the editing. Basically, I want to get all the behind-the-scenes deets first-hand while sampling some tasty amuse-bouche.
