Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge filming The Hills in West Hollywood 1/13
On-screen frenemies Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge spent the afternoon filming The Hills at a cafe in West Hollywood this afternoon (January 13).
The unlikely pals seemed to be getting along famously — even despite a well-documented history of battles — as they laughed and joked over glasses of water with lemon.
Perhaps the reality TV starlets were discussing co-star Heidi Montag’s recent plastic surgery unveiling!
Meanwhile, after getting snapped repeatedly at the gym, Kristin is opening up about the circuit training that she’s currently taking.
Claiming that it “kicks your ass,” the blonde babe tells Us Weekly: “I never want to go and I walk out dripping in sweat and it kills you, but it works. And I feel good… This is the first time in my life where I’ve really been working out consistently.”
As for what motivated Kristin to get her body into shape? “Once you see results, you want to maintain them and you want to keep it going and that makes you want to go to the gym,” she says.

Heidi Montag Says Kidnap Call Was 'False Alarm'
On Wednesday afternoon, police arrived at "Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's home after receiving a call about an attempted kidnapping. TMZ initially reported that a 911 call was placed by a neighbor who said that someone was trying to kidnap Montag.
According to reports, a man who allegedly works for Pratt had been arrested after police stormed the house. The suspect has now been released and Montag said in a statement to People magazine that the whole incident was a misunderstanding. TMZ added that no crime had been committed and that the man who had been briefly detained by authorities did eventually make his way back into the Pratts' residence.
According to Montag, she was making her way into her home and the sight of her face covered with a scarf prompted a neighbor to call 911 thinking she was in danger. The misunderstanding was quickly cleared up.
"We're grateful this was only a false alarm and I just had my pink Hermes scarf over me," Montag told People. "A neighbor was concerned and called the police. We're thankful to the LAPD for their response and making sure we were safe."
TMZ reported that Heidi had recently undergone a plastic-surgery procedure and was hiding her face to avoid being photographed before her People cover story hits shelves on Friday.

So, how much do we think Speidi paid these neighbors for all this extra publicity?

Heidi Montag: Addicted to Plastic Surgery
MTV's The Hills star Heidi Montag graces the January 25th cover of People Magazine and at first glance you may not recognize her. Montag, who married Hills co-star Spencer Pratt in 2009, told People that she recently underwent ten plastic surgery
procedures in one day in order to become "the best me".
In the magazine's cover story, titled "Addicted To Plastic Surgery," The 23 year old appears in a skimpy magenta mini dress, looking virtually nothing like her former self.
Heidi opened up to People about her journey:
On getting nipped and tucked: “For the past three years I’ve thought about what to have done. I am absolutely beyond obsessed. Every starlet is getting surgery every other day to keep their looks up. They just don’t talk about it. I wanted to be honest.”
On the next step for her now DDD-sized breasts: “I’m already planning my next surgery – I’m determined to get bigger ones!”
As for the plastic surgeries, Montag says that she's just starting out and that she expects to have maintenance plastic surgeries as she ages. She says that, for her, plastic surgery is "so rewarding".
Previously, Montag had breast augmentation and rhinoplasty in 2007, perusing issues of Playboy Magazine to "shop" for her new breasts.
According to the article in People, Montag's latest surgeries were performed this past November to the tune of $30,000. The procedures were:
1. mini brow lift
2. botox
3. nose job revision
4. fat injections in the cheeks
5. chin reduction
6. neck liposcution
7. ears pinned back
8. breast augmentation revision
9. liposuction on waist, hips, thighs
10. buttock augmentation
“We all want to feel attractive,” the 23-year-old reality TV star says of her 10-hour long November day under the knife. “So who is anyone to judge me?”
As for why, exactly, she did it? “I would say the reason is to feel better, to feel perfect.” She admits: “I am obsessed with plastic surgery and with maintaining my looks.”
She also admits that she kept the planned surgeries a secret from her family. Montag's mother, father, stepfather, and sister, Holly, have all appeared on episodes of The Hills in the past.
On January 11th, Montag released her debut pop album titled Superficial.
Sounds like a fitting title indeed.

Heidi Montag Calls Debut LP 'The Most Challenging Thing I've Ever Done'
"Hills" star Heidi Montag finally released her debut album, Superficial, on Tuesday (January 12). After working on the LP for years and spending time in the studio with producers and songwriters like Cathy Dennis and Steve Morales, Montag is ready to prove she's more than just a reality-TV star.
"Today is one of the biggest days of my life. I have been working three years on this," she told MTV News. "I have spent all my money. I am literally broke because I did this independently. Most artists just go in the booth and sing the songs. For me, I had to find the song, choose the song, track it down, book the studio time. I really wanted to be a part of it every step of the way."
Montag knows some people will be skeptical of her musical ability because she got her start on "The Hills," but she's ready to make a name for herself like any other pop rookie. "I think all new artists need to prove themselves," she explained. "I think the music speaks for itself. I had the best people producing. I had the best songwriters."
Getting those famed producers and songwriters to work with her wasn't easy, she recalled. "It was very difficult, especially not having a label. I had to find them," she said. "It really was a blessing that all this came together. It took me three years. It was the most challenging thing I've ever done, and I didn't have a lot of money. I was literally paying for songs, check by check."
Citing the Beatles and Michael Jackson as inspirations for making the album, Montag is happy she took her time. "They spent years on albums, 'cause they wanted the quality to be so good, and that's really what I did," she said. "I'm bringing it back to that old mentality of music. I, literally, the last three years, have been in studios almost every day, and I've put more into this than anyone could possibly comprehend."

Heidi Montag Talks ‘Superficial’ with Ryan Seacrest
Today, Heidi officially dropped her debut album, Superficial. Superficial is available for purchase at amazon.com, which asks $9.99 for the digital download.
"The wait is over," Heidi Twittered Tuesday. "I put every dollar I have into this album and put three years of my heart and soul into this! ENJOY!"
Heidi talked to Ryan Seacrest this morning during On Air with Ryan Seacrest, here's an excerpt:
Ryan queried Heidi about why Speidi has been so quiet lately.
"Well this was our first holiday together," Heidi said "this was our first married Christmas together and I've really just been kind of being grounded and figuring out for my big album release. I've spent 3 years on this album and so for me it's just the kind of the calm before the storm because it's about to get just crazy. So I've been really concentrating on this album and how we're going to push it and kind of just been concentrating and really focusing on that."
Ryan asked Heidi if she ironically called her album Superficial.
“No, it’s not ironically called Superficial,” Heidi tried to explain. “I think that superficial is kind of a double entendre. It's superficial in the sense that everything kind of in Hollywood is a little bit superficial, kind of LA like the fakeness of it, and superficial in a positive way too how it's not what it seems and it's the inside that counts, it's kind of the unknown in the known."
Ryan then asked Heidi to clarify the pregnancy rumors and asked if she and Spencer Pratt were trying to have kids.
“Um no, I think right now we’re kind of on hold,” she said. "I think that would kind of be distracting from this album coming up but one day i would love to have kids, but i don't know if Spencer quite feels the same way i do."
