Kristin Cavallari's Laguna Beach Family Home Foreclosed

Kristin Cavallari's family home has been foreclosed on after they fell behind on the mortgage payments, according to new reports.
The “Laguna Beach” babe’s dad apparently couldn’t afford the mortgage payments and so the 7,100-square-foot oceanfront mansion was auctioned off for $6.1 million.
Papa Cavallari reportedly owed $7.5 million on the mortgage for the 5 bed, 5 bath, 3.17-acre property that also features a swimming pool, dry sauna, wine cellar, and extravagant beach views.
It's hard to believe that the Conrad's and Kristin's Dad both lost their LB homes. Sad! :(

Olivia Palermo Dishes on her Style Influences & Her Favourite Places to Shop

By Deirdre McQuillan
Describe what you’re wearing
My jacket is from Reiss in New York – it’s the perfect transition piece for spring. The shirt is Belstaff, the black skinny jeans are from Cos in Germany and the scarf is Christian Dior. I always have a great pair of ballet flats – these in maroon velvet are from French Sole – it’s a better colour than black, I think, particularly in photographs. This is what I’d wear travelling.
And the jewellery?
I picked up this gold bracelet from an antique dealer in New York, and the watch, ring and earrings are vintage pieces from my mother. I like wearing my mother’s jewellery – she has an amazing sense of style.
What’s the key piece in your wardrobe?
A good blazer is very important and I always think there is something very sexy about a tailored jacket. I have a tailor in Hamburg who makes great jackets for me. I love colour and have jackets in different colours. I also have vintage Christian Dior and a Givenchy dinner jacket with velvet lapels to which I pin art deco clips.
How do you describe your style?
It is relatively classic and, although I am fashion-forward, I like to be covered up – a little uptight and buttoned up.
What are your style influences?
I look at old movies from the ’40s for inspiration. I dress for myself and think it is important to look polished. Italian men are always impeccably dressed. It is not acceptable to walk out of the house in sweatpants.
Is there anything you wouldn’t wear?
I don’t like wearing tank tops without a cardigan unless I’m on a beach. I won’t wear Crocs, Birkenstocks (especially with socks), jumpsuits or chokers.
What is your favourite look?
An oversize man’s cashmere sweater over little ballet pumps. Fashion is so accessible to everybody now and people are more interested - I hope a more covered-up look catches on. More designers and buyers are coming back to a ladylike look.
What are your favourite shops?
I try to shop on my travels, but also balance that with seeing museums and galleries. I might be in Tokyo checking out street fashion and just to have a little something is a reminder of where I have been. I love 10 Corso Como in Milan and the Corner store in Berlin because the buyer has an incredible eye. I spend a lot of time in Berlin and Hamburg – Berlin is cool, but Hamburg is beautiful.

Are you a collector?
I collect vintage jewellery and that love came from my mother and aunt from an early age – they have an amazing archive of ’40s vintage pieces. You can find incredible pieces in antiques road shows in the US and in Miami.
What magazines do you read?
I come from a magazine background, so I look at everything and anything because different markets have different looks all over the world and their magazines have very different layouts and approaches. I am a big supporter of British fashion and British Vogue is one of my favourite magazines. People are looking for fewer investment pieces now so you don’t need so much variety any more.
Are you developing your blog?
My blog is a lifestyle blog with magazine features and can’t just be all fashion – I’d love to see it evolve into its own brand over the next five years.

Lauren Conrad Talks About Her New Novel ' The Fame Game'

Lauren Conrad knows a few things about hot clubs, cute guys and life in the fast lanes of Los Angeles. Best known for her starring role in the MTV reality series "The Hills," she's also the best-selling author of the L.A. Candy series, which follows young interns on the prowl. Perhaps in designer threads from Conrad's own clothing line, of course. Now she's back with a new series featuring a favorite L.A. Candy character, Madison Parker. Conrad, 26, chatted with USA TODAY's Craig Wilson from her home base, Los Angeles.
Q: Your newest book, out Tuesday from HarperCollins, is called "The Fame Game." What is it about fame that attracts so many people? It's like a drug.
A: I think it's just simply to be adored. The first thing you think of is people blindly loving you, and all the perks that come along with that.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hottest, where do you put yourself on the fame meter?
A: I'd be down at the bottom right now. I haven't been on TV for a long time.
Q: Did you ever wish you weren't even on the meter sometimes?
A: I think that I had a love/hate relationship with it. I felt like I should appreciate it, and it's lovely at certain times. And if you're able to inspire another person, that's the great side of it. And I was able to travel. That I loved.
Q: But it's not all fun and games being in the spotlight. What's the hardest thing about fame, do you think?
A: I think the level of criticism you're under is never healthy. I think that's why lots of people in Hollywood end up in rehab. There are the ups and downs. I was never a fan of the attention.
Q: Do you have a funny story about being "spotted" somewhere?
A: There were a lot of those. Most of the time it's great. They ask for a photo with you. It's a little overwhelming if it's a young girl, though. They can overreact. Cry.
Q: After you were on the cover of Teen Vogue and Seventeen, didn't people notice you more on the street?
A: If you're on the cover of any magazine, you certainly get recognized more.
Q: Your Lauren Conrad Style guide is now out in paperback. Any style tips you'd like to add now? Any trends?
A: That's a good one! Let me think. I purposely didn't put anything trendy in there. I wanted this to be a book that you could refer to for years. It's all very classic. Things come in and out. I didn't want that.
Q: You live in LA. Where should someone go to be seen?
A: Who do you want to be seen by? If you're an aspiring actor? My experience is so different. I didn't go through any of that. Most of my friends all tend to work in restaurants part time, doing acting classes on the side. I don't know! I was walking through a parking lot when I met my producer.
Q: You're heading to Africa for two weeks. Tell us more.
A: It's a little work and a little safari. I'm excited because we're going to see giraffes. I love giraffes. And I'm meeting with a bunch of groups, foundations. As soon as I finish my next book, I'll have more time, and I want to devote some time working for a cause. So I'm going to take a look at various groups.

Lauren Conrad: Out & About in West Hollywood

Spotted: Lauren Conrad leaving the Kate Somerville salon in West Hollywood on Tuesday, March 27.
Looking a bit camera-shy, Lauren kept her head down as she headed for her car and sped off to tackle the next item on her to-do list.
In other LC news, Lauren recently blogged about a movie cameo she made:
"While I’m happy as can be designing and writing these days, I did take a little break earlier last year to shoot a cameo for a very cool movie called, L!fe Happens. It’s a hilarious story and the movie will be definite must-add to my favorite chick flicks. L!fe Happens is about two friends who try to “maintain normalcy” in their lives after one of them has baby. The best part? The film stars a few of my favorite leading ladies including Krysten Ritter, Kate Bosworth, and Rachel Bilson. Let’s just say this is the perfect movie to go see with your girlfriends…"

Olivia Palermo's Photoshoot in Madrid

It's not many a MTV reality show star who manages to make the transition from pop culture lightweight to claim a higher level in the celebrity hierarchy.
But stunning Olivia Palermo, seems to be doing just that.
The 26-year-old, who has impeccable fashion nous, has been carving herself a niche as an iconic fashion model.
With her Italian-American good looks, and the frame of a dainty bird... it hasn't been too hard for the star of The City to make the leap.
But her natural talent for selecting sartorial gems has helped immensely.
Of course, this dramatic Gothic red lace gown is likely to have been selected by a stylist to reflect her otherworldly beauty.
It isn't clear who Palermo was posing for in the beautiful Spanish city, but she has just been in Ireland a huge Vanity Fair shoot... so it's likely this is more of the same.

Olivia Palermo Visits Kildare Village in Dublin, Ireland

Yesterday international 'It girl' Olivia Palermo swapped her home of New York city for Kildare Village.
Olivia -- who shot to fame on MTV's 'The City' reality show -- has rapidly earned 'style icon' status, for her blend of designer and high street labels, becoming a regular on the front row of every top catwalk show.
The 26-year-old New Yorker travelled to Ireland on Sunday to do a fashion shoot for 'Vanity Fair' magazine and split her time over two days, posing in Dublin's Merrion Hotel and shopping at the designer boutiques at the Kildare Village outlet centre.
Fresh from skiing at the exclusive Courchevel 1850 resort, Olivia came armed with a tan and advice from her model/photographer boyfriend, Johannes Huebl, who went to school down the road at King's Hospital, Palmerstown for two years.
But if the handsome model had warned about wet Irish weather, the fashionista didn't look confused as she found herself posing in 20C Mediterranean sunshine.

"I’m wearing a Monclear jacket- Loro Piana collection, and ski pants by Ralph Lauren."

"He (Johannes) really liked it here for two years and he was very happy for me when he knew I was coming to Dublin," said Olivia, who attracted an endless gaggle of onlookers curious to see what bargains the visiting celebrity had bagged.
"Sunglasses," declared Olivia. "It's never easy to find the right pair."
The latest Rochas signing as the face of their new fragrance, she yesterday displayed a judicious eye for bargains. She honed in on a €140 white blazer from Reiss, down from €205, a Gerard Darel suede jacket in olive green for €320, a raffia bag, designer sunglasses, a tie and scarves from Churches and presents for her boyfriend, who takes photographs for her website, oliviapalermo.com
"It's not all about me," said Olivia who starred with Johannes in the Mango Autumn 2012 campaign. "If I see something that I know he will like, I try to pick it up and Hackett is one of his favourite stores."
Hailed by marketers as a 'taste-maker' she yesterday ruled out any immediate move to introduce her own label like Whitney Port, her former co-star on 'The City' or Lauren Conrad of 'The Hills'.
"Not right now, my focus right now is oliviapalermo.com," she said.
Before leaving for the airport, Olivia ruled out a return to television.
"No, I'm more of a fashion person, I don't have any focus at the moment to go into acting but if it does occur, then I'll think about it at that point."
