The City (Season 1 )| Ep. 18 | 'Hit It And Quit It' - recap and photos

Whitney confesses to Roxy that Jay has been calling and texting her and that she is considering meeting up with him.
She admits that she contacted him the last time he was in town, leading Roxy to question why she never mentioned her "booty call" before.
"I wanted to leave it in the past," she explains. "But now I think he thought that it meant something and I owe it to him to see him and explain what is going on."

Over at Elle magazine, director of PR Erin asks Olivia if she is ready for their upcoming event in support of the Kipton Art Foundation at the Longchamp store. She explains that People's Revolution is representing Longchamp and that they need to direct their employees to make sure they get the best photos.

Olivia says that Whitney, her former colleague from Diane von Furstenberg, will be there, and claims that she is "good friends" with the founder of Kipton. She also jokes about the event being just a "cocktail party", although Erin looks unimpressed.

Later that evening, Whitney meets Samantha for a yoga class and wonders if Jay ever found out that she brought Freddie to his house. Sam advises her not to think about Jay and focus on her relationship with Freddie. She says that she wouldn't be giving Freddie a fair chance if she decides to meet Jay.

Whitney arrives at the restaurant to meet Freddie and is stunned to find that he has brought his father. She tells him about her fashion project and how difficult it has been to find money and backing. Freddie's dad warns her it is a hard time to be seeking sponsorship and that people are reluctant to back newcomers.

After he leaves, Freddie admits that it was "awkward" while Whitney wonders whether it was too early to introduce her to his parents.

The next day, Olivia and Erin arrive at Longchamp to discuss the event with Whitney and Roxy. Erin asks Roxy to supervise the photographer. She also requests that Olivia help direct Roxy because she claims to know so many of the guests.

As Whitney and Roxy prepare for the event later, the former reveals that Freddie will be coming and explains about the dad situation.

Roxy thinks it's weird and Whitney admits it made her remember how cool Jay's mom was. She also says that Freddie knows Olivia and she wonders how they will interact.

The party gets underway and Freddie arrives and greets Olivia by the door. Whitney wants to go and talk to him but Kelly advises that she makes him come to her.

Eventually the pair meet up and he apologizes for bringing his dad to dinner. He promises to make it up to her.
Elsewhere, Olivia introduces Roxy to the house photographer and immediately abandons her, leaving Roxy to vent her frustrations to Erin. "It's crazy," she complains. "I don't know how you deal with it."

Erin responds: "It's been a challenge. She has two options - either we are going to work together and she'll be a team player or she'll be gone and I'll make sure of it."
The next morning Roxy recounts the incident to Whitney, who questions why Erin doesn't just fire her.

Roxy goes on to say that she is "concerned" about Freddie because she thinks there "is something weird" with him. Whitney says they can't judge him on his friendship with Olivia. She also adds that she has decided to see Jay that night.

Over at the Elle office, Erin questions Olivia about what happened with Roxy. Olivia claims that Roxy should have known what to do because she is a PR, but Erin suggests that Olivia's behaviour didn't reflect well on the magazine and Roxy thought she was rude. "I'm not rude," replies Olivia. "That's her problem."

Later that evening, Whitney meets Jay and he says that he heard "some dude" had been at his house with her.

Whitney admits that she was wrong to have brought Freddie to his apartment, but Jay is still unhappy. He questions why she would choose to date a Wall Street guy and someone who is friends with Olivia.

Whitney defends her decision claiming that it is her life and she can do what she wants. "I hope you made the right choice," replies Jay, as he leaves the restaurant.

The Hills (Season 5) | Ep. 15 | 'Sorry Boo, Strike Two' | recap, photos and after show

Brody meets Jayde for a drink to say thanks for his birthday party and invites her to a gathering that Kristin is throwing at her beach house.
Jayde says that she doesn't want to go and doesn't want him going because they always end up fighting when they are around Kristin.

Brody thinks she is being silly, leading Jayde to suggest that maybe he needs to be "a little more understanding of the situation".
Over at Heidi and Spencer's new home, he's unimpressed that she is babysitting their neighbour's nephew Enzo again and looks sceptical when she insists that it's a fun way to spend time. He asks whether Holly is still drinking and going to Kristin's party.

"Holly seemed good. She said that ever since we met with her she has tried to change her life," replies Heidi. Spencer responds: "Your sister is a liar. When you are quitting something you don't put yourself in that environment."

Stephanie and Holly arrive at Kristin's house to help prepare for the party. Holly offers to make a "mean Jack and Coke" and jokes that Jack Daniels is her "one true love". Brody arrives later without Jayde, leading Kristin to ask if she would be upset to know that he has come to the party. Brody insists that Jayde knows they are just friends.

Kristin then receives a text message from Justin which says: "Sorry Boo, strike two. I'll call you later." She admits that she's angry with him for bailing on her and Brody wonders whether he is just playing games. "I'm done," says Kristin. "How about I'm done talking to [him]?"

She is even more frustrated when he decides to make an appearance later. She tells Brody she is annoyed with him and he says he will go and find out what he is playing at. He warns Justin that Kristin is not into mind games, leading Justin to question whether he might still have feelings for Kristin.

Brody laughs off the suggestion and heads inside, where he is surprised to find that Jayde has come to the party but didn't say hello to him.
Kristin later decides to talk to Justin. She says that the text message wasn't a funny joke and that if he hadn't come to the party she would have finished with him. He asks if she would have been happier if he hadn't come and after a brief pause, she says no.

Back in the house, an upset Jayde is venting her frustrations about Brody. "It's not fair that he can get drunk and do whatever he wants, talk to who he wants and be so rude to me," she says. "He just doesn't care." After overhearing part of the conversation, Brody confronts her and they argue in front of the other party guests.

He deems her "delusional" for telling people that he has yelled at her, while they both accuse each other of drinking too much. Eventually Brody storms off, telling his friends: "I'm done, it's over, I'm done. She can go and fight her own battles." Kristin appears happy and salutes Jayde as the model and her friends leave.

The next morning Kristin and Stacie reflect on the party. They question whether Holly has a drinking problem, while Kristin also admits that she had more fun with Brody than Justin. She jokes that it would be funny if she began dating Brody again but Stacie warns her that Jayde would be angry.

Over at Heidi's house, Holly finds herself confronted by her sister and Stephanie about her drinking.
She says that she never promised to stop altogether, adding: "I'm going to cut down but it's my choice. I'm an adult woman." She accuses Heidi of patronizing her but Heidi insists she would feel responsible if something happened and she hadn't said anything, leading Holly to break down in tears.

"We love you so much, Holly," says Stephanie. "We just think you need to to rehab." However, Holly abruptly gets up and leaves, claiming that she doesn't need this hassle.

At the same time, Brody and Jayde meet to discuss their own problems. Brody accuses Jayde of causing scenes and embarrassing him when they are out, while she says that Kristin is manipulative and likes causing problems. She adds that Kristin obviously still has feelings for him and questions whether he might still like her.

"I don't know," he answers. "I don't want to hook up with Kristin but I don't know if I have feelings for her. I haven't really explored that yet or gone down that road and got to know Kristin really well again. I haven't done that."
Jayde is upset that he can't say for certain whether or not he has feelings for his ex-girlfriend and stands up to leave. She informs Brody that he can call her if and when he wants to apologize and knows exactly what he wants in life.
