Lauren Conrad: "I Blushed When I Saw" Topless Glamour Cover

Fans weren't the only ones surprised to see Lauren Conrad topless on the cover of Glamour's May issue!
When Conrad spoke to MTV News at her Fame Game book signing in NYC Tuesday, the 26-year-old admitted she didn't think that would be the most talked-about shot. "There's a lot of me on there! Listen, that was a surprise to me," she laughed. "That was supposed to be a very small inside shot, and I saw the cover, and I was like, 'Oh my!' I blushed when I saw it. I was like, 'That is a lot of me!'"
"I didn't know that was going to be the cover. But that's how it works with magazines: If you take a photo, there's always that chance. But, no, I did not expect that to be the cover."
Conrad also posed in a white bikini top for Glamour -- something she typically shies away from. "On the vacation to Cabo, I wore a bathing suit on the beach for the first time in years. Usually I'm just petrified," she told the magazine. "A couple of years ago someone zoomed in on my cellulite and it was so mean. I took it really personally. I haven't worn a bathing suit in L.A. in years because of that."
The Hills alum doesn't regret agreeing to take her top off for the magazine, telling MTV News: "You know what? Why not [do it] when you're young," she said. "Forty years from now, I'll be not looking like that. Might as well!"

Audrina Patridge Takes It All Off (Her Makeup, That Is!)

Beneath all that makeup and perfectly blown-out hair is an Audrina Patridge like you've never seen her.
The Hills alum bravely went through a dramatic makeunder conducted by xojane.com.

In her interview, Patridge, 26, admitted that on a normal night she spends 45 minutes on her makeup and two hours on her hair. For proof of endurance, xojane.com went straight to her glam team.
I'll use twenty to thirty products: several eye shadows, three or four brushes, a highlighter, concealer, foundation, mascara, lip gloss, lipstick, powder, lashes…and so on," said her makeup artist Spencer Barnes of Solo Artists/NARS.

Added the star's longtime hair pro Jonathan Hanousek of Executive Artists, "I usually blow dry it with a round brush and set it in rollers, then curl it with a curling iron, then loosen the curl. Yup. About two hours."

Lauren Conrad Poses With Fans Outside NBC Studios

If any reality star wants a career after their fifteen minutes of TV fame are up, they should definitely follow in Lauren Conrad’s successful footsteps. The former Hills star-turned-mini mogul was spotted in New York yesterday, where she greeted two young fans before heading into NBC Studios to promote her new book.
Lauren Conrad may have an extremely successful career, but when it comes to love, the former Hills star admits that dating in Los Angeles isn’t as easy as it seems.
“Dating in Los Angeles can be hard, which makes it all the better when you meet a really nice guy,” said Lauren. “I’m not old-fashioned when it comes to dating, but there’s something nice about a guy pulling out a girl’s chair and opening the door for her, even if it’s just in the beginning.”
Even though Lauren’s currently “single at the moment,” with a crazy promotional schedule ahead of her, the blonde beauty has plenty to keep her busy AND happy.
“It’s funny. I’m my happiest when I’m really busy. I love feeling like I need one more hour of sleep, or when I’m running around frazzled!”

Lauren Conrad: The Fame Game Book Signing at Barnes & Noble in New York City

Promoting her latest novel, Lauren Conrad was spotted at a book signing for "The Fame Game" at Barnes & Noble in New York City on Tuesday (April 3).
LC wore an adorable grey flower printed dress with bright red nails and nude pumps as she held up a copy of the fifth tome of her series about the highs and low of being a celebrity.
Lauren's book chronicles a drama queen who stars on a reality show and, when asked by GLAMOUR in a recent interview if the book reflects her experiences in Hollywood, she replied, "Yes, definitely. I knew people who called the paparazzi on themselves! Their point of view is 'They’re going to photograph me anyway, and this way I get paid half of what they make.' I could never bring myself to do it, but it was kind of fun to write it from that point of view."
Although most assume reality stars don't really do anything, that couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to Miss Conrad. When asked if she felt she had to prove herself, the 26-year-old replied, "I did, and it was very frustrating because I almost wanted to send critics my weekly schedule and say, 'This is my ‘nothing.’' I would film all day, and then I had several other businesses on the side: In the last season I was running a clothing line and writing a novel. I work really, really hard."
