Freddie Fackelmayer Of MTV’s ‘The City’ May Be Showing The ‘Jersey Shore’ Crew Around The Hamptons Next Season!

Could a Jersey Shore/The City crossover be in the works?
By now, you’ve heard the rumors about Jersey Shore heading to the Hamptons for its recently-announced second season — but now HollywoodLife.com can exclusively tell you who may be playing tour guide to the spray-tanned gym rats. Hamptons party boy and Whitney Port’s former fling from The City, Freddie Fackelmayer, is reportedly being enlisted to give them a very special lesson in Hamptons class. And although MTV hasn’t hammered down any specific plans yet, we can promise you Freddie is definitely interested! “I’m thinking about dressing Snookie up in a big hat and garden dress this summer and taking her to a polo match in the hamptons,” we overheard Freddie saying at a recent event in New York. “It would be a bit like Pretty Woman. Perhaps that’s stretching it a bit.”
It wouldn’t be completely crazy, as Jersey Shore and The City are two of MTV’s hottest shows. What do you think of a potential crossover? Too ridiculous, or too perfect?

New Couple? Erin Lucas and Freddie Fackelmayer

Friday night, was the opening of Stacey Bendet’s alice + olivia pop-up shop and former 'City' cast members Erin Lucas and Freddy Fackelmeyer were spotted arriving there…together! Erin is Whitney Port’s EX best friend, and Freddy is Whitney’s EX boyfriend: obviously they’re a match made in reality-tv heaven. Apparently they were seen “cozying up to one another”.

Freddie Fackelmayer: MTV Made Me A “Womanizing Jerk”

Freddie Fackelmayer, a 2005 graduate of the George Washington University, wants everyone to know that he’s not a “womanizing jerk.” Fackelmayer just finished up a stint as a boyfriend to reality television star Whitney Port on MTV’s “The City,” a a show about Port’s real life working in the fashion industry.
“They can still make you look however they want,” Fackelmayer said “They made me be this sort of womanizing jerk, which is not really who I am,” he said. How does that work? According to Fackelmayer, MTV “never asked the cast to say or do anything, but the editing that followed skewed what actually happens.” He adds: “You know they cut it up [into] little bits and they pick what they want to make it as interesting as possible and it’s tough not to look like a jerk, I think.”
Fackelmayer said he became involved with the show after his younger brother met Port during filming in New York. Fackelmayer said producers approached his brother to get Freddie on the show as well.
"I was reluctant at first 'cause I was worried how it would affect work after being on one of these shows, but I gave it a shot," Fackelmayer said.
"[Whitney's] got a lot to say and a lot on her mind," Fackelmayer said. "She's just been doing this a lot longer than any of us and she knows to keep her two worlds entirely different. There's a Whitney and there's a Whitney on The City."
Fackelmayer, who grew up in Greenwich, Conn. and knew a couple of the cast members before filming began, went into filming prepared but said he still felt he was inaccurately portrayed.
It's not fun to look like a jerk on TV, it's not good to be a sloppy mess when you've got a real job," he said.
Fackelmayer who has been working for a commercial real estate company has another job he's like to add to his resume - author. Before the show, he started writing a novel about two young boys growing up in Greenwich, and said appearing on MTV has opened a lot of doors.
"I'm speaking with agents, and that's actually something that actually has been helpful, because agents, if you're a first-time writer, its really difficult to get your foot in the door, but I sort of skipped those really difficult first steps because most of them had heard of me," he said.
Fackelmayer said he has put his time on MTV behind him and has no qualms about his appearance on the show. He adds that although he and Port are no longer dating, they are still good friends.
"I'm not looking back on it, I don't regret it. I'm just focusing on what I've got going on now," Fackelmayer said. "And we got great ratings."

Ep. 119: The City (Season 1) | Ep 19. 'Weekend At Freddie's' recap and photos

The episode opens on Whitney and Roxy in the park sunbathing. Whitney reveals that Freddie has invited them to the Hamptons. Roxy is excited but her face falls when she hears that Samantha will be coming too. "I feel like she's competing for you."
Whitney dismisses the idea, saying that she thinks Roxy and Samantha just need more quality time together. Harry is also going to be there, prompting Whitney to observe, "That's an interesting dymanic right there!".

At City View Racquet Club, Freddie asks Whitney to go easy on him before turning the conversation to the weekend. Whitney hopes that Sam and Roxy get along as "it would suck if they didn't".
Freddie tells her that Harry is fitting the trip in between school and Nantucket. Whitney is excited about seeing him.

Joe Zee meets up with Erin and Olivia in the Meatpacking District to discuss Elle's personal style issue. They will be covering the style of the people who write about style, namely bloggers. Olivia is tasked with drawing out the bloggers' personalities via short Q and A sessions.

In the car on the way to the Hamptons, Roxy, Samantha and Whitney are discusing Harry and Freddie. Roxy asks why Samantha never got together with Freddie. Samantha doesn't know.
Roxy asks what the craziest thing Samantha has ever done is. Samantha struggles for an answer so Whitney tells Roxy to go first. Roxy tells the girls that she got drunk with her best friend and ended up getting a tattoo on her crotch.

'Heartbreaker' by Mariah Carey comes on the radio and the girls dance. Roxy stands with her upper body out of the sunroof blowing kisses at the other drivers.

The girls arrive and Roxy announces that the guys "look like identical twins". The group drink wine and discuss their plans for the evening. Roxy asks, "Are you guys ready to show us a good time?", before bringing up the matter of sleeping arrangements. Harry replies vaguely, "Wherever we end up".

At Milk Studios Olivia is interviewing the style bloggers about accessories. Erin is keeping a close eye on the proceedings and observes to Julia (the photoshoot co-ordinator), "That's it? I think we're in trouble."

After briefly interviewing the bloggers, Olivia announces to Erin that she is leaving and walks out. Erin decides that Olivia's questions simply weren't good enough and she will need to re-interview the bloggers herself.
Whitney and Roxy are applying their makeup and discussing why Roxy is still unable to make friends with Samantha. Samantha is in the kitchen with the boys and confesses that she thinks Roxy has been trying to provoke her.

The group head off to Lily Pond where Harry flirts heavily with Whitney, eventually kissing her. Freddie looks on jealously before telling Harry to "stop dancing with my girl!". Harry retaliates by telling Whitney that Freddie has a girlfriend. Whitney is stunned - "I want to die right now".

The next day Whitney and Roxy are discussing Harry's revelation. Roxy tells Whitney "he probably does this all the time" and decides they ought to call Freddie's girlfriend to let her know what's been going on.

In Manhattan, Joe summons Olivia and Erin to his office. Joe asks how the photoshoot went and what questions Olivia asked her. Olivia fumbles with her question sheets while Erin folds her arms and rolls her eyes.

Joe feels that the answers were lacklustre and they will require follow-up interviews. Erin announces that that won't be necessary as she interviewed the bloggers after Olivia left. Olivia looks horrified.

Erin points out she shouldn't have to stay and do Olivia's job for her. There is an awkward pause before Joe tells Olivia that she is there because he believes in her so not to disappoint him.

In the Hamptons, the girls meet the guys by the pool. Roxy isn't speaking to Freddie so Whitney tells him that Harry told her about his girlfriend.
Freddie confesses that he doesn't want Harry to hook up with Whitney but Roxy points out that if he has a girlfriend he can't put a claim on Whitney.

She goes on to say that "Whitney doesn't always stand up for herself so I want to make sure that whoever she's with is treating her good". Whitney protests that she doesn't need a mouthpiece.

Freddie acknowledges that he should have told them about his girlfriend. The girls agree and leave Freddie and Harry to head back to the city.

Roxy Olin goes off on Freddie Fackelmayer, Olivia Palermo and keepin' it real in 'The City'

First impressions may not be Roxy Olin’s forte on “The City.” In fact, it took five episodes before we saw anything endearing from the girl. When we did, though, it was like we got a peek at a new person. Last week’s Roxy actually gave Whitney good relationship advice. The new Roxy worked hard at an Elle magazine charity event. Most importantly, the latest Roxy showed us how to dance like Beyoncé. Could we have been wrong about her all this time?
“There’s this place in me that’s protective of myself,” explains Olin. “So I can come off as harsh. Now, as the episodes have gone on, I’ve been able to drop my guard, getting used to the cameras being around. I think in the last episode, it was the most me I’ve ever seen it.”
Olin stepped away from last-minute costume shopping to talk about what went down in the Hamptons, her feelings on Freddie and Olivia, as well as her recurring role on "Brothers & Sisters."
This week, Freddie Fackelmayer, Whitney Port’s latest beau on "The City," invites the gang out to the Hamptons, where, according to Olin, things really heat up. “There’s some serious drama,” hints Olin. “Not-very-nice-boy drama. A little Fackelmayer boy drama.” It seems Freddie may have a girlfriend, which doesn’t sit well with Olin.
“At one point, I was looking over at Freddie,” Olin recounts. “And I was really upset with him. I look over at him and he’s literally shaking and I think, ‘Oh my God, I’ve taken it too far. Uh oh.’ At the same time, if you’re going to mess with my friend like that, I’ll put you in your place.”
It may feel strange to see her defending Whitney when we’ve seen Olin speak badly of her on several occasions. Olin says that we’ve only seen half of the story...
“At the beginning of the season, the producers were really trying to set me up in a certain way,” says Olin, who says that she actually lived with Whitney and still works at People’s Revolution. “So, they took out all the parts of me, the sweet things or me being a good friend to Whitney. At the same time, we weren’t as close in the beginning. I hadn’t seen her for two years, and through the episodes, she has become really close to me. That part is real.”
There was a moment last week when Olin met Freddie for the first time at the Elle event. You’d think she’d want to get to know her friend’s new crush. Instead, Olin excused herself abruptly. Olin says she had a good reason for being curt. “I got a really bad feeling about him,” she remembers. “I just did, and that’s hard for me! If Whitney really likes a guy and I don’t like him, it’s awkward. I just wanted to get away from him, because I didn’t want to say my opinion before she realized it for herself. So, I just tried to get myself out of the situation for the first time ever," she says, laughing.
So that was then, but how does Olin feel about Freddie now? “He is shady,” she says point-blank. “From the second that I met him, I was like, something is not right. He’s hiding something, and I still get that in the pit of my stomach every time I’m with him. Even though he’s a nice guy and he’s beyond handsome, he’s one of these sweet talkers. I don’t trust him for a second.”
Last week, we also saw Olin interact with Olivia Palermo for the first time when they had to work together at the charity event. Needless to say, that didn’t go so well. Olin says, “She drives me nuts. I don’t get along with Olivia very well. I think she’s great on the show. I think she’s a very pretty girl. Would I ever be friends with her? Absolutely not.” In fact, Olin says that though she has met people who travel in Olivia’s circles, she still hasn’t met “anybody who has her back in any way.”
Olin does admire Olivia for one thing (well, sort of). “She has great style,” Olin points out. “It’s an art the way she organizes herself. I swear to God, it must take hours. I’ve never seen a hair out of place on that girl.”
Recently, you may have seen Olin outside “The City” in ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters.” You could say she has joined the family business. Her father, Ken Olin, is the show’s executive producer, and her mother, Patricia Wettig, is Holly Harper. Olin plays Michelle, a young woman who may or may not carry a baby for Kevin (Matthew Rhys) and his husband, Scotty (Luke Macfarlane).
Nepotism may have helped her land the role, but Olin says she still has to work to make it believable. “I don’t know if I could do it,” she says. “It takes a strong person to give that baby up at the end of the day. That’s a struggle I think that I would really fight, and I’m going to have to really think about that for my character.”
Olin says shooting the two shows at the same time can be grueling, but she doesn’t see herself quitting either one. “I would hope for more parts on shows while doing ‘The City,’ and I’d like to continue that. I’m really trying to focus on being 100% present for ‘Brothers & Sisters’ and ‘The City.’ Eventually, I hope to continue to act and eventually direct. So, I definitely want to be able to do both at the same time.”
By the way, in case you’re wondering what costume Olin ended up in for Halloween – she tweeted: “Little Red Riding Hood post being eaten by the wolf … I'm pretty scary.”
