Earlier this summer, WWD reported that Olivia Palermo would be launching a blog in August. But it’s almost the middle of September, and nothing has hit the web. So when we spotted the stylish starlet at Rachel Roy’s presentation, we had to get the scoop.
Fashionista: We heard you were going to launch a blog, is that still happening?
Yes, I’m launching this month. I pushed it back a little bit to make sure it’s just perfect; so it will launch at the end of this month for sure. We’re just working out the dates right now but I’m really, really excited.
Will you be doing any posts on NYFW?
I’ll be doing some posts and I have a wonderful team of writers that I’m working with. They’re definitely going to be touching on a little bit of fashion week here in New York and overseas as well.
Will it mostly focus on fashion?
It’s going to be more focused on my influences throughout my travels and also a little bit of beauty and fashion pictures [of items] that you can buy now. It has a little bit of everything. But I do love fashion and I have a great appreciation for it so to be able to share some style tips is always cool.
A while ago it was rumored you would launch your own line. Is that something you’d still be interested in doing?
I think at some point. Right now I have so much going on but it’s something I want to do in the future. It’s just a matter of when.

Kristin Cavallari & Dance Partner Mark Ballas Arrive At DWTS Rehearsal

Kristin Cavallari looked focused as she met with her dance partner at the "DWTS" rehearsal studios on Monday, September 12th.
While The Hills star obviously wants to win the mirrorball trophy for herself, Cavallari thinks she knows who will actually take it home. She predicts former talk show queen, Ricki Lake, will win.
Kristin Cavallari also says that Ballas is the perfect partner for her. Mark is "very even-keeled and nice," she says. However, she admits to being nervous. "Every time I think about the first show, I get kind of crazy" she says.
As in past years, rumors are already swirling that she and Mark have a thing off the dance floor too. "No, no that's the last thing on my mind!" says KCav. "I'm scared of Pia," she adds, referring to Mark's girlfriend, American Idol's Pia Toscano.
As to why Cavallari thinks Ricki Lake will win, her answer is simple. "I've seen her dance and she's good."

E! spoke to Audrina, who had some wise words for her former Hills costar and current DWTS contestant Kristin Cavallari, "Just hang in there, don't give up."
She also warned Kristin, "It's going to get harder and harder," but concluded by reiterating that it'll be the best experience she's ever had.
Wearing an LBD and chunky necklace by the designers, Drina dished, "This is the only show I'm going to at Fashion Week. I've always been a huge fan of Badgey Mischka, and they really know how to design amazing clothing for women that make you feel sexy and really accentuate a woman's figure."

Olivia Palermo: Beautiful in Leopard at Rachel Roy's Spring 2012 presentation at MBFW

Just when we thought Olivia was nowhere to be sighted at New York Fashion Week, we spotted our girl crush at Rachel Roy's Spring 2012 presentation. As expected, Palermo culled together a fantastic ensemble wearing a sheer leopard print top and clutch by Reiss, Mulberry pocket skirt and a hot pair of purple platform sandals by Charlotte Olympia. After creating a photographers frenzy with her arrival, Palermo took time out to chat with us. Fun fact: her favorite Karaoke songs are from Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra. On Spring '12 collections: I'm looking forward to seeing some really nice evening gowns. I really need to focus on building my evening wear collection.
On Rachel Roy: I love everything Rachel does. I haven't seen the full collection yet, but there was one black look with an amazing print on it. I love it.
On other shows she plans on attending at NYFW: I'll be at Tibi, Marchesa, and I think that's it!
On what she can't live without during Fashion Week: My Blackberry and iPad charger because it always seems like I'm on empty battery.

Is Lauren Conrad's Book LA Candy Headed for Television?

Business savvy Lauren Conrad hit Fashion’s Night Out to promote her new clothing line Paper Crown, and dropped a hint about the future of her popular book, “L.A. Candy.”
Former Hills star Lauren Conrad has segued her successful reality career into a full-time job as a fashion designer, author, and now possibly a prime time producer.
Lauren told SheKnows Thursday night at her Paper Crown launch that her bestselling book series, L.A. Candy, will in fact not be hitting the big screen, despite past plans to do so.
“Let’s see, what can I say?” L.C. carefully worded her response to us. “It will not be a movie.”
Lauren’s company, Blue Eyed productions, bought the rights to the screenplay and she was quoted in 2010 saying the movie was in its “early stages.”
But Candy fans need not fret. You may actually get more out of this than expected.
“We are exploring options in television,” Lauren told SheKnows.
That means multiple episodes instead of just one film…we say sweet deal!

I'm so excited about the prospect of a television series! I would love to see LA Candy on ABC Family right next to Pretty Little Liars and Switched At Birth! I think the network would be the perfect fit for both Lauren and the series. What do you think?
