Our obsession with New York socialite, Olivia Palermo, seems to never end. The Elle employee is definitely a style inspiration, and she proved nothing other, when she trotted around Manhattan this summer, transforming chic basics like the jean short and a stripped top, into sophisticated arteries of stylish looks.

Out running errands in New York City's West Village on July 8, Olivia Palermo, one hand in pocket and eyes on her Blackberry, dazzles in a striped blue top by Club Monaco, a flirty navy skirt and a timeless, cool beige coat. She accessorizes with a Roberta Freyman necklace, black shades and a pair of hot skyscraper heels.
Later that month, on July 27, the 'social' was spotted enjoying the summery weather while sipping a cold drink at an East Village cafe. Olivia was on a quiet shopping trip, wearing a basic black top with jean shorts, spiced up with a chunky neck piece, black shades, a watch and leopard print flats (not seen).
Hand-in-hand as they leave the Apple store in trendy Soho on August 13, Olivia and boyfriend Johannes Huebl couldn't look more charming. She pairs dim basics with a beige cardigan and a matching satchel.
