  8. She is an uptown socialite daughter to a real-estate developer, Douglas Palermo, and an interior designer who stepped into the New York scene a few years ago and soon became the target of rumors and criticism.

    - She was deeply hated by now-dead SocialiteRank.com, a webpage that gave socialites points based on their personal style, press coverage, attendance to events and hotness and that according to New York Magazine “manipulated the city’s gossip cycle (and) elevated unknown women to unlikely prominence.” The website’s favorite was Tinsley Mortimer.

    - She was accused by the website of going mad and writing a letter to her fellow rich friends that read: “I know some of you maybe a bit surprised to receive an email from me, but I have been meaning to clear the air for quite some time…I know I have gotten off on the wrong foot with many of you and there may even be some of you that do not like me.” In the e-mail, she also asked for another chance, a friendly hello and maybe even friendship. Later, Palermo’s dad hired a team of lawyers to sue Socialite Rank for publishing the “fake” letter.

    - She was a guest blogger for Papermag.com last year during Fashion Week fueling rumors that her family had monetary problems after her dad filed for bankruptcy.

    - She was at some point, or maybe still is, represented by Kelly Cutrone from People’s Revolution—What a coincidence that they are both featured in The City?

    - According to The New York Observer, she moved out of her parent’s apartment this year and into her own $4,150 a month Leonard St. one-bedroom.

    - She told Page Six Magazine in July 2008 that she wanted to be a serious actress.

    - In the same article, she said she had one year left of Media Studies classes at The New School in NYC. They must not have any problems hiring college students at DVF

  10. Up-and-climbing socialite Olivia Palermo may still be smarting from her feud with rival Tinsley Mortimer, as "Page Six" reports today, but she's got bigger problems, ones that have million-dollar price tags. Palermo's pop and personal slush fund, real-estate consultant Douglas Palermo, recently lost a hefty bankruptcy case. Palermo senior's appeal to get out of paying over $2.75 million to a creditor was rejected after the judge found that Palermo had used multiple fake organizations to obscure his actual worth from lenders. Instead of paying his bills, Palermo joined private clubs and sent his children, Olivia and Grant, to expensive schools. He also issued "hundreds of checks" to his Korean dry cleaner, which he used as an "unofficial credit line," and skimped on alimony payments. That's gotta sting for flashbulb-friendly Olivia — if dad's in debt, does daughter have to … work?

  11. Why is it that Olivia always WALKS AWAY everytime she is confronted with her bahavior. Examples: -When Erin was talking to her about not showing up at Whitneys' interview. Olivia stood up and left. -When Whitney was talking to her in the restaurant and Olivia just left because she can not answer Whitneys' questions. OLIVIA IS HAS BODY ODOR AND BAD BREATH!

  12. She is a thief!! Stole Whitneys idea and sabotaged Whitneys fashion line. Olivia's father is a THIEF TOO! Filed Bankruptcy to get away from paying his debt.
