Whitney Port: Penning an Advice Book

She’s a reality star, a PR-girl and a fashion designer, but now Whitney Port is adding another title to her resume: author.
The MTV star, who appeared on The Hills before moving to New York to star in The City, will pen a book, True Whit, for It Books, due out in 2011.
In what her publisher describes as a "conversational, fun, and candid guide for girls looking to start out [in life] with style, " the Whitney Eve designer plans to write personal stories, and advice for young women.
"Being a twenty-something can be a difficult phase," says Port, 25. "There are so many questions, and I wanted to write about my experiences for anyone who needs help navigating through life."
Among the topics to be covered? Getting rid of puffy eyes, dressing for a date, decorating a tiny apartment, and hosting killer parties.
Adds Port: "It's a really fun and fresh how-to-guide where I can share anecdotes that I've learned from both work and my personal life."

  1. Gawd, are they cashing in on her. This book has been done 1000's times by so many people. It's all covered in magazines, and her life has been navigated to the tune of a script and business manager for the last few years. I think I'll save my money.

Oh, puffy eyes tips (off the top of my head from my magazine addiction)
    1. 2 slices of cucumbers 1 each eye draws out water retention
    2. Keep eye cream in the fridge
    3. Keep 2 teaspoons in the fridge and place over eyes, as the cold shrinks puffiness
    4. Potato slices work as well as cucumbers
    5. Sleep on your back with 2 pillows, to drain fluid away from your face, wake up eyes less puffy
6.. Nothing here works for dark circles. Just concealer.

  2. Whit is sweet but I'm over the reality star books. I can't even get through Lauren's latest book. It's boring.
