X Games Champ Josh Hansen Makes "Hills" Debut
Making his debut as the next MTV heartthrob, motocross racer and two-time X Games champion Josh Hansen is set to appear on "The Hills" on Tuesday, July 6, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers will follow Hansen to the track and out on the town, as he works and plays in the L.A. area alongside the show's hot, young cast -- including Stephanie Pratt, 23, to whom he's been romantically linked.
Hansen's "Hills" debut comes just in time for what is sure to be another career highlight: the X Games, at which the 26-year-old took home the gold for motocross the past two years in a row.
In January, renowned motocross coach Mitch Payton selected Hansen to ride the West Region for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit team, on a 250F bike provided by Kawasaki. Making what many have called a comeback, Hansen finished at the top of the season, winning the final round of the 2010 Supercross West Lites series at Salt Lake City, placing second at the AMA East/West Shootouts in Vegas, and concluding top 10 overall.
Since stepping into the limelight of professional motocross at the age of 17, Hansen's career has exploded, receiving top honors in the AMA Lites Class, Full Factory Ride sponsorships and back-to-back X Games victories in 2008 and 2009. Having inherited remarkable speed and a smooth riding style from his father, retired motocross champion Donnie Hansen, the racer's professional campaign has placed him amongst the very best of the sport. Die-hard fans are counting on a three-peat victory for Hansen at X Games 16 (July 29-Aug 1).
