"I walked out of the house once without pants on," she said.
She also did poorly in school and wrecked her car five times, right after she got out of rehab. But in Olin's case, she's not just another Hollywood train wreck. The actress, who plays Whitney Port's friend and colleague on "The City," the MTV spin-off of "The Hills," has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Olin attended an event Thursday on Capitol Hill to talk about the disorder. Some of the worst things happened to Olin (the pants, the car, etc.) when she wasn't taking her ADHD medication.
"I was ashamed about this for a long time now," she told Yeas & Nays.
"Telling my story is at least that I can do to kind of help this issue in any way," she added, admitting she was nervous to speak before experts in Washington.
With her newfound frankness, will we see any ADHD plot lines on "The City?" Not exactly.
"If you really concentrate you will see it on 'The City,' " Olin said, especially when it comes to her boss, People's Revolution's Kelly Cutrone.
"Kelly gets mad at me all the time for not being able to concentrate," she said, laughing.
