Whitney Port, Olivia Palermo and Roxy Olin at the Extra Life Lycra 2010 fashion show 7/18

It appears that Olivia Palermo really is working at Elle. The former "employee" of Diane von Furstenberg headed to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami last weekend to toil away at the Xtra Life LYCRA after-party, which was co-hosted by the magazine and held at the W South Beach. The socialite-turned-tween-fixation is rumored to be working in Elle's public relations department and reporting to PR manager Erin Kaplan. "Unfortunately, I can't comment on this," Kaplan told The Daily.

At the Xtra Life LYCRA event, approximately 3 separate entrances were armed with signs alerting revellers that the bash was being filmed for The City. Sure enough, there were at least 3 aerial cameras and countless crew members on hand to capture the scene. (Curiously, no Elle editors attended.) Palermo stayed relatively behind-the-scenes as a well-lit Whitney Port played the protagonist.

Olivia Palermo sat front row at the Mara Hoffman 2010 fashion show on July 18, while Whitney Port worked the show with Kelly Cutrone.

After the show Whitney was spotted backstage with Roxy Olin but there was no sign of Olivia. It's interesting how often Whitney and Olivia manage to miss (avoid?) one another unless they're filming...

Whitney Port took in the L*Space by Monica 2010 fashion show from a front row seat, sitting alongside Kelly Bensimon, Carole Marini and Gilles Marini at the Cabana Grande at The Raleigh.

Whitney was seen talking to Jason Kennedy during the show. Could he be the guy from the Florida room? When the show finished up, Whitney made her way over to the after party with Roxy Olin.
