Audrina Patridge's Reality Show is cancelled!

Audrina Patridge's days as a reality star are apparently over ... or at least for now.
She tells The Daily of her little-watched VH1 series, "We finished in April and I kind of decided I wanted to take some time off from reality."
The network confirmed this, although with a slightly different take, saying, "VH1 will not be picking up 'Audrina' for a second season."
This cancellation shouldn't come as a huge surprise. The April debut of "Audrina" only brought in 791,000 viewers and ratings consistently dropped from there. The season finale delivered a minuscule 530,000 fans.
As for her next steps, she says, "I want to do something more like acting or hosting ... I would love to get dressed up in costumes and talk in an accent and film in another country."

I'm disappointed, are you? I know the show was far from perfect but I still loved seeing Audrina & Casey every week.

Audrina Patridge Dishes on 'Dream Maker' and The Pros & Cons of Filming A Reality Show

Recently, Audrina has been in Detroit filming scenes for a Web series called “Dream Maker,” which will air on YOBI.tv, a site that hosts online talent competitions. Winners in acting, singing, comedy and filmmaking contests have earned spots in “Dream Maker,” which stars Patridge as Tracy James, a Hollywood talent manager.
Patridge’s character is inspired by the economic downturn to start a new firm in Detroit to foster fresh talent and contribute to the rejuvenation of the hard-hit city.
“A few years ago, I never would have imagined that I would have had all of these opportunities that I’ve had,” Patridge said. “It’s been so amazing. I’m very blessed. I’ve been very busy with work. My dreams are coming true.”
Patridge and the rest of the cast and crew have been putting in 12- to 14-hour days, but the experience has “been amazing,” she said.
Patridge’s co-stars sing her praises, saying she insists on being treated like just another cast member despite her fame. Lisa Mason Lee, who plays James’ receptionist on the show, describes Patridge as being “as sweet as pie” and “classy, charm-ing, charismatic.”
Meanwhile, the first season of “Audrina,” which chronicles the namesake star’s interactions with her Orange County, Calif.-based mother, father and three younger siblings, soon will be coming to a close.
Patridge said it has been an eye-opening experience, because after “The Hills” finished, she “kind of forgot how you have to relive everything, sometimes through the editor’s point of view. It’s hard, for my family especially. But it’s been really fun.
“We’ll see if we get a second season. We don’t know yet.”
As for the longer-term future, “In five years, I’ll be 31. Gosh,” she said, smiling. “Hopefully, I’ll be married and starting a family, and I really would love to start my own line, whether it be a bikini line or something that I’m passionate about, be creative with. I’d love to do another movie or more hosting jobs and traveling the world. I just live day-by-day and see what comes.”

On this week’s episode of Audrina, Audrina Patridge has an exciting meeting with Donald Trump, and the fight between her sister Casey and mom Lynn reaches its boiling point!
Casey ends up leaving the New York trip with Lynn and Audrina early because of her feud with Lynn. “I left New York before my mom and sister because as far as my mom goes — I couldn’t do it another night,” Casey says. “I wish that whole thing would have been different, but she’s my mom so I’m super used to it.” This situation obviously puts Audrina in an awkward position with her mom and sister. “I don’t even know how it got so bad that night,” Audrina said. “I mean, there’s always going to be ups and downs ,but this is the worst it’s ever been. One thing is said and it changes everything.”
Meanwhile, Audrina is asked to have a meeting with Donald to discuss future business ventures. When Lynn finds out that Audrina has a meeting with Donald, she gets super-excited about it and decides she wants to tag along. Audrina is worried because she thinks Lynn has crush on Donald — and knows Lynn can be a wild-card at times! Donald ends up telling Audrina that he admired her on Dancing with the Stars and thinks she would be a great asset to Celebrity Apprentice.

This was my favorite episode by far. I love Casey. She keeps always keeps things real and relatable. And can we discuss how gorgeous she is? I thought she rocked in that Badgley Mischka dress!

Audrina Patridge: On Keeping It Real and Photos From Her Bikini Calendar Shoot

"Audrina," which premiered Sunday, chronicles Patridge’s family life and Hollywood life and “everything in between.”
The idea of starring in yet another reality series was initially met with some hesitation by Patridge, citing “The Hills’ ” venture away from reality, which she says came at the end of Season 3, toward manipulation.
As ‘The Hills' was getting ready to wrap, my manager at the time kept saying we were being approached to do my own show,” she recalled. “MTV had always wanted that for “The Hills” — my personal life, my real friends, my family — but I was always like, no! I didn’t know how they would edit. Then I met with Mark Burnett.
“It was like day and night. He understood my worries of what I went through with ‘The Hills’ and that I didn’t want to go through that again — just being portrayed as someone I wasn’t or being pushed into situations that don’t reflect who I really am. He agreed that if we do it, it’d be real. Raw. There’s not all this lighting set up. The camera guys really hold the cameras and really follow us. It’s not us sitting down and the crew sets up three cameras on a tripod and you're not allowed to move. We just get to be ourselves. We get to talk about what we want to talk about!"
And she intends to keep it that way.
"I just get to be me. That's all I ever wanted. At the end of the day, I want to be married and have kids. This won't last forever. If we're lucky, it will last a couple of seasons. And that's fine by me."

'Audrina' is set to premiere on VH1 April 17th, and as VH1 exec Jeff Olde described the show:
Ultimately, this is the story of a young woman with dreams, goals and ambitions all put through the no-BS filter of her family.
Here are the official VH1 bios for Audrina's family/castmates
Casey Loza is Audrina's 24 year old younger sister. Growing up Casey and Audrina were the best of friends, but when Audrina left to go to Hollywood, their relationship changed dramatically. Now, married with children, Casey describes herself as the 'black sheep' of the Patridge clan. She is married to Kyle Loza, a professional dirt bike aerialist. They have two children, are both covered in tattoos, and are nearly inseparable. Casey is an entrepreneur with many skills and talents and budding professional endeavors including becoming a pilot and starting a cosmetics line.
Marky Patridge is Audrina's fun loving 22 year old younger brother. As the only son of Mark and Lynn, Marky has learned to avoid the estrogen driven drama that sometimes occurs in the family. He's passionate about dirt bike riding, chillin on the beach, partying, and babes. Audrina relies on him as her best friend and confidante, which is why she selected him to be her only roommate in her new home. Currently, Marky works for his father in the family business.

Samantha Patridge is the 16 year old baby of the family and the last child to still live at home. She is a soft spoken and considerate young lady and is involved in many extra-curricular activities at her school and is on track to graduate early.
Lynn Patridge is a one of a kind. She is the heart and 'Momma Bear' of the family and is refreshingly unfiltered. She is never afraid or hesitant to speak her mind. She is an old fashioned home-maker and her pride and joy are her children. She gained notoriety in 2010 in a viral video of her venting about Audrina being eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. She and her husband, Mark, are high school sweethearts.

Mark Patridge is the Patriarchal backbone of the clan. He is always calm, easy with a smile, and always available to his children to whom he is nothing short of a hero. No subject is off limits to him or his children. Having raised three beautiful daughters he is no stranger to running off their ex-boyfriends. He is the CEO of the extremely successful family business, Patridge Motors, which produces engine parts.
