Joe Francis Diced Up by Jayde Nicole Legal Team
Today HSK has exclusively obtained and published court documents from the recent SLAPP MOTION hearing in the Jayde Nicole vs. Joe Francis cross-complaint.Joe Francis of Girls Gone Wild lost his cross-complaint against Jayde Nicole today. Judge Mark V. Mooney of the Los Angeles Superior Court dismissed his complaint against Jayde Nicole for libel, slander, and false light. The Court found that Joe Francis was a public figure and that Ms. Nicole’s comments to the media were protected speech relating to the topic of Mr. Francis objectifying and exploiting young women.
Since Mr. Francis failed to meet his burden of proof that the statements were made with actual malice, the Court dismissed the case finding no actual malice had been proven by Mr. Francis.
Ms. Nicole’s attorney Ronald Richards of Beverly Hills had this to say, “It is a great day when not only is a bully like Joe Francis, a guy who hits women is defeated, but when a court also protects the rights of everyone to speak their mind on important subjects without being afraid of being sued by a rich tyrant.”
Francis is now facing up to $80,000 in attorney’s fees which are mandatory to a prevailing victim of a SLAPP action in California.

Lauren Conrad: Sweet Little Lies - Book signings in Carle Place NY and Boston, MA
Hoping to match the best-selling sales of her first book, Lauren Conrad was out promoting “Sweet Little Lies” in Carle Place, New York on Thursday evening 2/4 (above), and at the Barnes & Noble at the Prudential Center in Boston on Friday 2/5 (below).
Talking about her latest work, LC recently told MTV News, “I think that if fans take anything away from the book, [they should realize] there’s a back side to every story.”
Miss Conrad continues, “And when you’re reading tabloids and seeing these people’s lives exposed, it does affect them and it is hard to go through as a young girl.”

Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera: From Cabo to the Viper room
Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera were back from their romantic trip to Cabo but together out at the Viper Room in West Hollywood last night. Audrina spent most of the week lounging in bikinis with Ryan soon after the rumors of their new couple status emerged. With Audrina's career in the music business, they share more common interests than MTV fame and tattoos. Ryan is headed east next week to participate in a Haiti benefit concert, so we'll see whether Audrina — and her reality TV cameras – will come along for the trip.

Kristin Cavallari: Mission Girl
Doing what she can to give back, Kristin Cavallari was thrilled to be able to help the people of El Salvador during a mission trip last month.
Talking to Us magazine, the MTV reality star tells, "Going to El Salvador was such an incredible experience. It really put everything into perspective and made me appreciate everything I have.”
Having helped pretty up a local school and spent time with the children, the 23-year-old adds, "Seeing how happy and excited the kids were was the best feeling in the world."
Currently tied up with filming duties for season six of “The Hills,” Miss Cavallari is also scheduled to pay a visit to Kenya later in the year with One Kid, One World organization.
