Whitney Port Visits Philadelphia

It's been several years since MTV's "The Hills" and "The City" went off air, but Whitney Port continues to prove that her interests in fashion and clothing design are not exclusive to her reality-TV show days. On Thursday, the 27-year-old star, designer and author attended a garden tea party at Apricot Lane Boutique in Suburban Square in Ardmore. This was Port's very first visit to Philadelphia, as she was in town to promote the launch of her new, budget-friendly fashion line, WE by Whitney Eve, which combines signature styles from her original Whitney Eve collection with a more modern appeal. Port was dressed in a printed shirt paired beneath a relaxed, off-white blazer from her WE Collection, black skinny jeans and studded Giuseppe Zanotti heels. This is what the scene looked like at Apricot Lane: Ms. Port was greeted by a line of girls- some on the verge of fandemonium breakdowns- as each patiently waited her turn to meet her. Always the sweetheart, the designer interacted with all of the attendees, taking pictures and providing a style consultation for the local winner of the store's facebook contest. (An added bonus for guests was that the cupcake truck was parked right outside of the boutique.) "Whitney was so wonderful to all of our guests and made this event extra special just with her personality and style advice alone, said Ashley Seiden, co-owner of Apricot Lane.

Lauren Conrad Reveals Her Three Must Have Items & Her Signature Cocktail

Houston Tibits scored a terrific interview with Lauren Conrad. Check it out below.
TIDBITS: First let’s talk about your cover for the May 2012 issue of Glamour that’s out on stands. WOW! You look fantastic. How much “pull” do you have with the cover look and inside shots?
LC: It’s really all up to the magazine—that’s kind of part of the deal. They’ll let you have input on the concept of the shoot, but once the photos are taken, you’re emailed the cover a few days before and that’s how you see what’s coming out.
TIDBITS: Do you have any pre-photo shoot tips for looking fab in front of the camera?
LC: My biggest thing is to get a good night’s sleep. And to avoid salt and alcohol.
TIDBITS: Your books put such an interesting spin on the ways and woes of reality star scenarios. Did you ever imagine that your reality show experience would be such successful fodder for a future writing career?
LC: I’ve always really enjoyed writing, but I considered it more of a pastime than a career path. Growing up I was so focused on the fashion industry, that it never occurred to me that I could do both.
TIDBITS: A day in the purse of Lauren Conrad, designer of Paper Crown apparel. What are your three must have items?
LC: Keys, translucent loose powder and cell phone. Actually two phones: my Blackberry and iPhone. I’m on training wheels with my iPhone right now—I’ve been in a seriously committed relationship with my Blackberry for years, but I need the iPhone for a camera and for uploading things to my website. I always think it’s funny how quick people are to switch over—I’m having such a hard time breaking up with my Blackberry!
TIDBITS: What signature cocktail will you be sipping this summer?
LC: I’m one of those people who every time I go to a new place, I let the bartender pick something for me to try. But my go-to drink is vodka and water with lime juice. Or I’ll do a tequila with soda and lime, kind of like a skinny margarita, but I’ve heard that soda causes cellulite – not sure if it’s true, but I think I’ll try to avoid that! But I also make sure and drink water all night long. Somewhere after age 23 I realized that I could barely take a sip of alcohol without waking up to a hangover. So now, it’s water all the time.

Charity art auction with Lauren Conrad‏

This Earth Month, several celebrities – including Lauren Conrad, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Smart are putting their trash on the auction block for a good cause. These stars and more have donated trash to the “Mess to Masterpiece Auction, Presented by Glad® Black Bag” which benefits Keep America Beautiful and its mission to engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community environments.
Acclaimed artist Jason Mecier created custom mosaic artwork from the celebrity trash and these pieces will be auctioned off on eBay from April 16 - 26, 2012.
The auction is inspired by Glad’s latest campaign – The Wild Life – that shows no matter how wild life gets, cleanup is in the bag. Viewers can get in on the action and enter for a chance to win $25,000 and other prizes on Facebook.

Brody Jenner & Family at the Toyota Pro Celebrity Race in Long Beach, CA

Brody's family, his Mom - Linda Thompson, brother - Brandon and Dad, Bruce Jenner were all on hand to show their support.
Unfortunately Brody Jenner & Eddie Cibrian crashed into each other during the race but luckily, no one got hurt.
While the crash left Eddie in last place and Brody's car beaten up, Brody dished, "[The crash] wasn't my fault, right?!" I had a good time while I was out there. I was picking my time, Eddie kept blocking me. I finally had a better run on the straightaway, so I went for it. But he wasn't braking!"
Brody explained that he made the turn but Eddie didn't, which resulted in LeAnn Rimes' hubby's car hitting the wall, bouncing off the wall, and then hitting Brody's car.
"I'm gonna kick his a--," Brody added. "No, he's big, I don't want to kick his a--. That's racing though! I'm just bummed I didn't get to win! 'Cause I think if I woulda kept off that wall, I maybe woulda had a chance. Oh, well, next year."

Lauren Conrad & Lea Michele Dish on Their Dads & How They Got Their Amazing Bodies

Fashion designer Lauren Conrad and Glee star Lea Michele have more in common than being small screen sirens: both their fathers struggled with their famous daughters stripping down for magazine covers!
“Oh, I died for your Glamour shoot,” Lea, 25, gushed to Lauren, 26, during an exclusive interview with Celebuzz at the LACOSTE L!VE desert pool party in Palm Springs, Calif., on April 14 — an event part of the Coachella festivities.
Whilst both dishing about how they get their amazing bodies, Lea — who plays Rachel Berry on the hit Fox show — paused to compliment The Hills star on her recent topless cover.
“The inside shots are so beautiful,” Lea said.
“Thank you!” replied Lauren sweetly, before confessing: “My dad’s not so thrilled about it!”
Lea, who in the past has appeared in GQ and Britain’s Marie Claire, found herself in the same position.
Her dad, delicatessen owner Marc Sarfati, and Lauren’s father Jim Conrad, an architect, found looking at their scantily-clad children a tough task, both revealed in the middle of our exclusive chat — which become more of a back-and-forth between the small screen stars and pals!
“When I did GQ, my dad wasn’t so thrilled either,” said Lea, giggling, as she tried to reassure Lauren, who complimented her pal right back.

“I even told my mom (Kathy) not to tell him!” Lauren responded. “That was my only thing. When I did it I was like, ‘Don’t tell dad!’”
But despite having bared more than most cover girls, the pair was modest about their sexy magazine spreads.
Lea told Lauren: “You’re looked like Bridget Bardot! I felt like it was so sexy. When I was reading it in public, I had to hide it. I was reading it at the airport (and I had to) fold it back because I felt uncomfortable!”
“So did I!” Lauren confessed, adding: “I’ve been traveling a lot so I run by them every time I see it at an airport!”
So how do they get their amazing bodies? The pair revealed their “life changing” secret to Celebuzz at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. at the weekend.
“Read Skinny Bitch!” Conrad confessed in an exclusive interview at the LACOSTE L!VE desert pool party, during our joint interview.
“Oh my god,” Lea interjected. “Give me a high-five. Didn’t it change your life?!”
“It scared the s–t out of me!” the former The Hills star told Lea. ”Everything you eat you’re like, ‘Oh, God I know what’s in that now.’ It’s just informing you about what’s in your food.”
“Exactly,” added Lea. “When you read the book, you’re like ‘Oh, it’s just going to be all about being skinny,’ but it’s not at all. What I love about the book is that it’s just the hard core truth. Seriously, it changed my life.”

Stephanie Pratt Hits the Beach in Oahu, Hawaii

Spotted: Stephanie Pratt on the Hawaiian island of Oahu on Tuesday, April 17.
Steph went on vacation with her parents to celebrate her 26th birthday (it was on April 11th.)
It looks like Steph has been soaking up everything the Aloha State has to offer. She's been horseback riding on the beach, gone for surfing lessons and looks to be enjoying the company of a very cute local. Go Steph! : )
