Hills Ratings Plummet 30 Percent
Looks like viewers don't care about Lauren Conrad's replacement on The Hills, Kristin Cavallari.
Ratings for the MTV reality show's Tuesday premiere plummeted about 30 percent, Broadcasting & Cable reported. Just 2.1 million people watched compared with the 3 million who tuned in for the last season premiere in April of this year.
In contrast, 3.5 million watched the August 2008 premiere.
Despite the decline, MTV points out that The Hills is the most-watched show in its time slot for the age 12 to 34 age demographic.
But ratings are up 43 percent for The City, which chronicles former Hills star Whitney Port as she establishes her life in New York City.
Just over 2 million viewers watched The City's premiere, up from 1.6 million who tuned in for the show's debut.
