In a recent interview with Ms. Palermo she admits she never set out for a career in the clothing industry.
"I fell into fashion," she told UK magazine InStyle.
"I was really into sports as a kid, especially ice hockey. There were never any female commentators and I always wanted to be one."
Now she can't get enough of fashion. Olivia is a big fan of one major UK retailer in particular.
"I'm obsessed with Topshop," she said.
"Time flies when I'm in there. I'll pop in for 15 minutes and be gone for hours. I wore a pair of their floral pants to the Topshop Unique show which were really fun. Johannes [Huebl, Olivia's boyfriend] also introduced me to Reiss a few years ago; the clothes are gorgeously simple and chic."
