Lo Bosworth and Long Term Boyfriend Scott Hochstadt Split Up

After two and a half years together, The Hills star Lo Bosworth and Scott Hochstadt have called it quits, a source tells UsMagazine.com.
The sad split went down on Tuesday night, right before businessman Hochstadt, 33, attended a launch party for the Family Guy "It's a Trap" DVD at L.A.'s Supper Club; Hochstadt took his parents, not 24-year-old Bosworth, to the bash.
The duo first stepped out together in summer 2009; on July's series finale of The Hills, Bosworth agreed to move in with her man, who hinted at a future proposal. And the reality star gushed to Us that same month, "I think he is The One," and that she wanted to be a "young bride."
What went wrong?
"They had talked about getting engaged quite a bit," the source concedes. "But over the last couple of weeks it really unraveled...The age difference was a lot, and they are at different places in their lives."
For now, adds the source, "They are taking it slow as friends. Scott loves her family, she loves his family, and all their friends are heartbroken but they couldn't make it work anymore."

Rumor Control: Lo Bosworth Engaged?

It’s time for some Rumor Control! In today’s edition, we heard a rumor that The Hills star Lo Bosworth is engaged! Hollyscoop has the truth.
It couldn’t be father from the truth! Bosworth’s rep tells us, “She is not engaged.”
So where’d this rumor come from? Star magazine. The tabloid claims Lo is engaged to her lacrosse player boyfriend Scott Hochstadt.
A source told the mag, “Lo was absolutely glowing. She’s having a hard time staying quiet about it.”
While Lo and Scott are dating and now living together, they have not taken that next step in their relationship. Plus, with the launch of Lo’s brand new website TheLoDown.com, she probably has zero time to be planning a wedding.
Lo’s only 23—she has plenty of time to get engaged.

Lo Bosworth Says She'll Likely Wed Hills Beau

Wedding bells for The Hills' Lo Bosworth and Scott Hochstadt?
Could be!
On Tuesday's series finale of MTV's hit, Bosworth's lacrosse player beau hinted at a proposal in the future -- and she agreed to move in with him.
"I think he is The One," Bosworth, 23, told UsMagazine.com of Hochstadt at Wednesday's Lia Sophia Summer Party in West Hollywood. The pair first stepped out together last summer.
Of an engagement, she said, "we are sort of heading in that direction...[but] not in the next six months," she said of becoming husband and wife. But, she hinted, "I would like to be a young bride."
As for living together, she explained, "we are transitioning slowly but surely."
Bosworth, who just launched her lifestyle website thelowdown.com and has a book due next January, gushed of the impending cohabitation: "I'm just excited! He's the guy so I can't really be happier than that."

The Lo Down Live Blog: 'Hills' Star Lo Bosworth Is On The Party Scene!

No long intro necessary -- you guys certainly know what's going on tonight. It's the series finale of "The Hills," and the cast is going out in major style. Thankfully, Lo Bosworth is live on the scene to fill us in on all the party details. Hit, it Lo!

7:35 p.m. ET: And the journey begins ... In the car to The Roosevelt Hotel with Scott on this glorious day in July. The sun is finally bright here in L.A. Get excited, friends!
7:50 p.m. ET: Traffic in Beverly Hills! Should have seen this coming. It'll only get worse towards Hollywood, where we'll have to tip-toe around the premiere of "Inception." Oh well, our driver is making some race car moves -- at least that's entertaining.
7:59 p.m. ET: Texting Stephanie, who's also on her way. I wonder if I'll be the first arrive. Is that good or bad?

8:04 p.m. ET: This bumpy road proves my Vahan jewelery and Daniel Swarovski clutch a both sparkly AND rhythmic.

8:10 p.m. ET: The driver answered his phone and said he was transporting Mr. Bosworth. I'll go with it for now, but does this mean he doesn't like my dress?

Lo Bosworth Calls 'The Hills' Her 'Home Movies'

Since Lo Bosworth made the move from "Laguna Beach" to "The Hills" alongside her pal Lauren Conrad, she's seen roommates come and go, she's seen guys break hearts and ladies get their hearts broken, and she even gave Justin Bobby his infamous nickname.
When "The Hills" comes to an end Tuesday at 10 p.m. on MTV, Bosworth thinks fans will remember it as a groundbreaking show, a sentiment echoed by Kristin Cavallari.
"I hope that people remember it as a show that was a guilty pleasure, of course, but really sort of paved the way for reality TV in general," she told MTV News.
In fact, Bosworth said shows will come along and try to replace "The Hills," but she thinks none will come close. "There was never a show like 'The Hills' before 'The Hills,' and so in that regard, it is something that is unique," she said. "And I feel people will struggle to re-create exactly what we have been a part of. I'm happy about that."
This season, Bosworth let fans into her life a bit more, filming at her job at Smashbox as well as bringing her boyfriend, Scott, on camera. She said being on the show has definitely meant that her life memories have been preserved for all time. "You know, I just hope that people look back on it fondly in the end," she explained. "It's like home movies!"
