Looks like it's official.Heidi Montag filed for divorce from Spencer Pratt Friday in Santa Monica, Calif. Superior Court.
It's only been a few hours since the filing, and already Spencer Pratt is trying to steal the spotlight.
"I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world," Pratt said Friday. "And that world is on a sound stage."
As for the reason for the split, Pratt, referring to himself in the third person, said, "It's clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag's ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world."
In the end, it seems the relationship just wasn't big enough for two divas.
"Some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, Well, Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage."
My $02? Glad you asked ;) I would bet money they're still together. I think they will do or say anything (even divorce!) to keep their names in the media. What do you you think - is it for real this time?

ReplyDeleteKelli, I'm on the fence here. I do strongly believe filing for divorce is just as far as it will go. Filing the papers. Only to hope to get their own shows "Heidi: Strong independant woman starting over" Oh and her new website has no ads, she only posts about what brands of tea she likes, what products she uses, etc.

But If the really do get divorced I wouldn't be surprised either. Heidi got to play princess for a day, have a wedding and a nice ring and that's pretty much all she cared about. Oh, and about the whole getting married in a church where Jesus likes to hang out....we'll he'd understand...it was for the good of the show. So God and Co. will forgive her because she'll say she prayed the night before and said "Dear God, this is just a fake one okay?" thinking surely he'll understand what you have to do in the "industry".
